If the pricing plans and hefty annual subscription fees on big-name sites like Classy (now GoFundMe Pro) have you feeling intimidated, you’re not alone. While Classy’s reviews are positive and the platform is well-known, there are plenty of alternatives that deliver a similar experience—often at a much lower cost, or even free.
Below, we’ve laid out exactly what you can expect from the best (Classy) GoFundMe Pro alternatives—including features, pricing, and real user experiences.
Classy becomes GoFundMe Pro—What it means for your nonprofit
Classy was acquired by GoFundMe in 2022, but until recently, it continued to operate under its original name. A Classy rebrand was unveiled in May 2025, and now the platform is officially known as GoFundMe Pro.
The new partnership combines Classy’s software with GoFundMe’s operational scale to deliver a platform that includes donation pages, event ticketing, auctions, peer-to-peer fundraising, and crowdfunding.
Change can be a good thing—but for many organizations, this one brings uncertainty. Some nonprofits are unsure of the long-term vision, especially as GoFundMe Charity was closed back in 2021. Many are concerned about what effects this may have on features or support, or if Classy’s costs will increase. Others simply want a platform tailored more to the needs of a nonprofit than GoFundMe’s crowdfunding roots.
One thing is for sure: The Classy experience is about to change. Whether you’re already using the platform or just exploring your options, now could be the perfect time to consider a Classy alternative.

- Give Lively: Free for eligible nonprofits
- Funraise: Classy vibe, with a lower price tag
- Donately: Mobile optimization for all

- Fundly: Crowdfunding campaigns a la GoFundMe

1. Givebutter: Free and the #1-rated free fundraising platform on G2
Givebutter is a top-rated free fundraising platform for nonprofits, consistently pulling in first-place rankings with review sites like G2. With Givebutter, you have access to all the features you know from Classy, but they’re included for free. And instead of long contracts and a complex onboarding process, you can be up and running in minutes.

💰 Price: Givebutter’s core fundraising features are completely free to use, with no hidden fees thanks to optional tips from donors. If you opt not to ask your donors to tip, a small platform fee is added based on the campaign type you’re using: 1% on donation forms, 3% on fundraising pages, and 5% on fundraising events. A small processing fee is applied to all Givebutter transactions, but donors have the option to cover this fee as well—and 95% of donors do, resulting in an industry-low average campaign fee of less than 1%.
✅ Best for: Any changemaker—from small, grassroots student groups to long-established nonprofits—who want free access to the most effective and user-friendly fundraising tools all in one place, no strings attached.
👉 Our take: Givebutter packs in state-of-the-art features—including text-to-donate, livestream events, and nonprofit CRM (not to mention full integrations with hundreds of apps and payment platforms like Venmo)—fully accessible from the get-go for every organization that signs up.
Plus, Givebutter’s award-winning customer support and live chat feature with real (and friendly!) human beings are always free, just like the platform itself. With a full suite of free fundraising tools, marketing automation, and donor management, it’s designed to help nonprofits raise more for their mission.

What users like about Givebutter
What I like the most about Givebutter is that the interface is super easy to understand and the staff are amazing! When my colleague and I were thinking about making the switch, we attended Givebutter Bootcamp with Claudia, which was infinitely helpful! — Langley M., Social Media Coordinator & Givebutter user
What users dislike about Givebutter
Some of the more advanced features require an upgrade, which can be a limitation depending on your budget. But honestly, it’s understandable given how much the platform offers—and they’re constantly rolling out updates and improvements based on user feedback, which makes a big difference. — Stephanie F., Fundraising and Events & Givebutter user
2. Give Lively: Totally free… for approved 501(c)(3) nonprofits
Give Lively is another free fundraising platform, but it works on a membership model. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits can apply to join as a member, and once accepted, have access to the platform, fundraising features, integrations, and customer support.

💰 Price: This philanthropist-funded platform has no subscription or platform fees, and donors are encouraged to cover payment processing fees to give members as much of each donation as possible.
✅ Best for: Nonprofit organizations that want hands-on support and a values-driven, like-minded community. Give Lively is ONLY available to U.S.-based public charities that have 501(c)(3) tax status (and a GuideStar profile).
👉 Our take: If you want to go all in on this one platform—and you’ve got that 501(c)(3) status—they’ll take care of you—but not everyone can sign up. The Give Lively team requires 7-10 days to personally review every organization’s application in a process that includes a values assessment. You’re also required to use Stripe as your primary payment processor, which may be a barrier for some organizations.
What users like about Give Lively
Give Lively was very easy to get set up (and quick!). Once we were approved, creating a campaign and associated event page and peer fundraising page was a breeze. — Maria C., Give Lively user
What users dislike about Give Lively
I wish there were more features that Give Lively offered—it is quite limited. — Erika L, Senior Development Manager & Give Lively user
3. Funraise: A Classy vibe with a (somewhat) lower price tag
Funraise shares a similar feel to the old Classy, but it’s much more affordable, and there’s even a free version for smaller nonprofits. The platform has a wide range of features, but some of them (like auctions and text-to-give) are only available in paid plans.

💰 Price: Funraise has no subscription fee—unless you want to unlock features like fundraising campaign sites, texting, or peer-to-peer fundraising. Premium plans start at $99/month, billed annually. In addition to standard third-party payment processing fees, a platform fee of up to 5% applies.
✅ Best for: Mid- to large-budget organizations. Similar to Give Lively, you must be a registered nonprofit or NGO—but you don’t need to be based in the United States.
👉 Our take: Funraise offers great features (even an app), but you have to pay to use the majority of them. Organizations that can shoulder these extra costs can expect a very similar experience and range of features to what Classy offers. But for smaller organizations and grassroots groups looking for truly free access to all the tools, it’s probably best to look elsewhere.
What users like about Funraise
Funraise keeps a fantastic CRM of all of our donors, including a breakdown of net worth, potential to donate, which campaign they donated to, where they are in the world, etc. All this information helps us make decisions on where to focus our ad money and how our donors are finding us. — Melissa Y., Funraise user
What users dislike about Funraise
With the nonprofit sector relying heavily on such platforms, many have limited budgets to work with. I think perhaps they can revisit their pricing. A couple of built-in features could be tweaked to allow for client customization. — Carmel D., Funraise user
4. Donately: Mobile optimization for all
Donately is a Classy alternative that offers a sleek, mobile-optimized experience. The platform includes donation forms, campaign pages, and peer-to-peer fundraising, but can be light on other fundraising features.

💰 Price: Similar to Funraise, Donately is free, but only to a certain extent. There’s no subscription fee to start, but their Starter package platform fee is 3.5%, and if you choose to bump up to the Team plan to unlock more features, you’ll pay at least $69/month plus a 2% platform fee.
✅ Best for: Individuals, groups, and organizations that want simplicity in their fundraising platform.
👉 Our take: Donately has a streamlined, user-friendly feel, but it lacks many of the features you’d expect from an all-in-one online fundraising platform—like customizable fields, email reminders, and event management tools.
What users like about Donately
For someone that is not very tech-y like me, this made my job easy. It is extremely user-friendly and donor-friendly as well. — Hannah H., Director of Communications & Donately user
What users dislike about Donately
I did not like their customization tools. Their P2P fundraising service wasn't the best either. — Edward P., Engagement Director & Donately user
5. Donorbox: A platform for international causes—large and small
Donorbox is a promising Classy alternative for nonprofit organizations that want more international capabilities. The platform offers support for a wide range of currencies and languages, but lacks engagement and event-focused features that other free fundraising tools provide.

💰 Price: Donorbox offers a free plan, with platform fees of 2.5-3.5% depending on which feature you’re using. There are also the standard payment processing fees to consider. Users can upgrade to the Pro plan for $150/month, which offers lower platform fees and advanced features.
✅ Best for: Nonprofits and groups operating around the world, as well as political candidates, churches, and medical researchers.
👉 Our take: Though Donorbox might be pricier than it first seems, it serves a more diverse range of organizations than many platforms on this list. Most notably, it offers donation forms in 11 languages and tracks local campaign contribution laws for political candidates—so you’re above board all the way.
What users like about Donorbox
I loved that it could be used in any country, as on other similar platforms, I couldn't do it because they only had first-world countries enabled. In contrast, Donorbox opened the door for us to receive international aid and keep the sanctuary well. — Paula J., Advertising Manager & Donorbox user
What users dislike about Donorbox
There are potential fees associated with additional features like CRM (priced per contact), and to receive a lower platform fee (percentage of transaction), there is a monthly fee for a Pro or Premium plan. You will also need a Pro or Premium plan for some features like analytics and receipt rebranding. — Michael M., President/CEO & Donorbox user
6. Fundly: Crowdfunding campaigns a la GoFundMe
Fundly is a simple fundraising platform that’s closer in nature to GoFundMe. It’s available to both charities and individuals, and users can launch cause pages, manage events, and run peer-to-peer campaigns.

💰 Price: Fundly has a 0% platform fee, but you’ll still need to pay the payment processing fee for Stripe (the one payment partner they use) at the standard 2.9% + $0.30. Unlike many platforms on this list, it doesn't include the option of asking your donors to contribute to cover any of these fees, but it does have an option for donors to tip Fundly directly.
✅ Best for: Individuals, causes, and nonprofits that primarily need fundraising pages.
👉 Our take: Fundly feels like a sleeker GoFundMe, where anyone can raise money for just about anything alongside groups and organizations raising funds for their causes. Its range of features is limited compared to other platforms, but it includes a mobile app for updating your donors on the go.
What users like about Fundly
It is very easy to set up a fundraiser and share it with a lot of people. A lot of useful tools are available on the website, and the customer support is really good. — Veronica F., Student Technician & Fundly user
What users dislike about Fundly
“t continually glitches and does not set up ‘monthly’ as monthly. It continually only goes through as a ‘one-time gift’ when the donors click ‘monthly.’ This has caused quite a bit of frustration for donors and the loss of some support, understandably. — Hannah K., At-risk Ministry Leader & Fundly user
7. Bonterra (formerly Network for Good): Classy alternative for volunteer-focused nonprofits
Bonterra offers a suite of different products to match nonprofits’ needs—one of which is Mobilize, a tool designed for engaging and managing volunteers. While the complexity of the products can be confusing, this might be a useful Classy alternative for volunteer-focused organizations.

💰 Price: This one’s not exactly free, and like Classy’s pricing structure, you need to reach out for a quote. But Bonterra does create customized pricing plans based on your product needs, number of donors, and other factors.
✅ Best for: Large nonprofits or local government agencies with a heavy volunteer management need.
👉 Our take: This platform has evolved since it was originally Network for Good back in 2001, and Bonterra is now suited to both large and small nonprofits. But with pricing on request and a complicated approach to products, many nonprofits could enjoy the same features elsewhere in a more simplified way.
What users like about Bonterra
Overall, we are happy with the product and are looking forward to future improvements that will help where some features are currently lacking. — Nici B., Development and Volunteer Coordinator & Bonterra user
What users dislike about Bonterra
One of our biggest cons is the price tag. We are a small nonprofit, and every penny spent needs to be for a good reason. It was an expensive decision for us, but we have appreciated all the tools and benefits. — Misty M., Executive Director & Bonterra user
