2025 has been a year of relentless challenges for the nonprofit sector, from budget cuts and the growing need for community services to enormous uncertainty around public funding and policy.

A legen-dairy Giving Tuesday

Changemakers raised a grand total of $20M on Givebutter for Giving Tuesday 2025, up from $16.4M in 2024. When considering the days leading up to and immediately after December 2, 2025, the total amount Givebutter powered for nonprofits increases to $62M! 

This Giving Tuesday, nonprofits on Givebutter rallied support from over 93K individual donors who gave an average gift of $200 to 16K active campaigns that ranged from online donation drives to in-person events, peer-to-peer fundraising efforts, and so much more.

This year, as nonprofits face immense financial pressure and the loss of corporate support that once anchored year-end giving, Givebutter’s Giving Tuesday match sought to help everyone do more with their donations in a new way:

More than 1,500 nonprofits qualified automatically, and Givebutter matched 1% on a total of $3M funds in Wallet, resulting in $30K donated!

Organizations spread the word about the 1% Givebutter match on social media to encourage more donations, such as Preston’s Pursuit for Acceptance’s Every Encounter Matters campaign, which funds autism awareness training for first responders.

Delta Sculling Center 🚣

The Delta Sculling Center’s Giving Tuesday: Keep Us Afloat campaign rallied supporters to keep their healing sculling programs accessible to youth, military veterans, and adaptive athletes in Stockton, California.

⭐ Campaign highlight: A large matching gift featured front and center. Plus, a compelling campaign video and story section paint a clear picture of this organization’s awesome mission.

4KIDS 🫶

For their Giving Tuesday 2025 campaign, 4KIDS worked hard to raise $250K “to further provide hope, homes, and healing to kids and families in crisis” across South Florida. 

💰 Funds raised: $291K & counting!

⭐ Campaign highlight: Team fundraising. 11 different groups rallied enormous support from friends, family, and colleagues to see who would land at the top of the leaderboard.

Harmony House for Cats 🐱

This Chicago-based shelter and adoption center launched its Giving Tuesday 2025 campaign to raise $25K for its critical services for cats and kittens. 

💰 Funds raised: $23K & counting!

⭐ Campaign highlight: A delightful supporter feed full of donors’ cat photos! Also, the campaign’s story section features several other ways to get involved, including volunteering, attending an upcoming event, or adopting a cat.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan 🤩

For Giving Tuesday, BBBS of Southeast Michigan launched the IGNITE POTENTIAL campaign, which showcases the seriously impressive impact statistics of their program model.  

⭐ Campaign highlight: Recurring donations. A monthly gift is set as the default option on this donation form, encouraging supporters to make a more sustainable contribution to the cause. 

Indiana Diaper Bank 👶

By sharing their general donation form on Giving Tuesday, the Indiana Diaper Bank kept things simple yet impactful. 

⭐ Campaign highlight: Text messaging. This nonprofit shared a short, crystal clear message along with a link to their donation form, which features custom donation descriptions that make it easy to see the tangible impact of each gift.
